President Barack Obama on Tuesday was intended to encourage children to study hard and stay in school in a return to the school board that has some conservatives and red.
"Each of you has something good. Each and every one of you has something to offer. And you have the responsibility on himself to discover what it is," Obama will say.
"That’s the opportunity of an education can provide."
The president’s speech will be in a high school in Arlington, Virginia, and will air in schools across the country.
Some school districts have decided not to air the speech, others said they would leave the decision to teachers and principals, and some offer opt-outs for children whose parents want to see or hear the address.
"You can not just leave school and go into a good job. We must work for it and learn and train for it," Obama said he warned, adding that "this is not only important for their own lives and their own future .
"What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country."
The White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said the text of the speech was published on the website of the White House in advance to anyone with doubts to see.
"I think it is a sad, sad day that the political backing from one side to another has interfered anyone speak to pupils and teachers and parents about their responsibilities when entering a new school year," he told journalists.
Some conservative critics expressed fears the speech goal was to recruit young people to the liberal cause and "brainwashing" with socialism.
Their anger was sparked in part by a "menu of classroom activities" sent to schools by the Education Department, which suggested that the students write about "how they could help the president."

"This is indoctrination, pure and simple, in the cult of Barack Obama, and we oppose it," he said.
