President Obama and Higher Education

by benny on August 14, 2009

On my way to work this morning I was listening to NPR and there was a discussion about President Obama and his demand that every American receives at least one year of higher education training and / or 1 year of vocational or training school . This is in line with its goal of returning to America as the leader of bodies and a model for higher education in 2012.

I believe that higher education is critical to the success of America in the future, and will have a lot of different methods to get there. Every American who wants to get more education has a unique situation. Some students are just graduating from high school and plan for their state to attend college, university or community college.

Other students are older – single adults, married adults who require other forms of nontraditional education as the education offered entirely online, or "no-decorations" education – classes that are offered at night or on weekends, without intentionally the more social aspects of university life. With new technology and the flexibility is making it easier for nontraditional students, returning to college.
